Skål is a professional organisation of tourism leaders around the world, promoting global tourism and friendship. It is the only
International group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry. Its members, the industry’s managers and executives,
meet at local, regional, national and international levels t0discuss and pursue topics of common interest.
The first Club was founded in 1932 in Paris by travel managers, following an educational tour of Scandinavia. In 1934, the “Association International des Skål Clubs” was formed with Florimond Volckaert as its first President, who is considered the “Father of Skål”.

Most activities occur at local level, moving up through National Committees, under the umbrella of Skål international, headquartered at the General Secretariat in Torremolinos, Spain.
Skål Club of Delhi, known as Skål International Delhi, is the first Skål club formed in India in February 1954. On the basis of its membership strength, Skål Delhi achieved the 3rd position amongst top ten Skål clubs all over the world. Being the premier industry body promoting tourism and friendship, it offers an excellent opportunity to promoters to expand their business interests by leaps and bounds
Skål International today has approximately 22,000 members in 480 Clubs throughout 89 nations. Skål International Delhi today has over 200 members and still growing.
