 Welcoming the festive season Jewellery Designer Vandana Bhargava unveiled her festive collection at her store, White & Yellow, at the Square One Mall, Saket, New Delhi. The event was attended by Preeti Ghai, Sona Goel, Swati Sood, Sylvie, Avantika & Ankita Choudhary, Seema Puri, Sangeeta S Bahl, Romsha & Samant Chauhan and a few more. 

A rare collection of jewelry that captures the contemporary mood of classic shapes. Also dipping into the past she puts together a collection of heirloom jewelry that is perfect for the bride and her trousseau.

What makes her signature jewels exclusive and distinct from others is the fact that she uses only the rarest primary gems and exquisite organics in precious metal. There are about 3500 different minerals but only about 50 are used as gemstones. Generally, 12 gems are considered as key gems: ruby, emerald, sapphire, diamond, aquamarine, chrysoberyl, tourmaline, peridot, topaz, garnet, opal and pearl.  Out of these, ruby, emerald, sapphire, diamond and natural pearl are considered primary gems and the rarest.

Her signature jewels use these five rarest of gems, turquoise and some classic organiscs such as coral and amber. She says that these rarest of gems create magic as the spectral colours of white light, which do not get absorbed, are reflected back giving each a unique color.

With a modest beginning from the young age of 18, Ms. Vanadana Bhargava has indeed travelled a long way to become India’s leading Jewellery Designer. Notwithstanding that she designs & creates rare jewels for some top International names, Ms. Bhargava remains humble in stating that every jewel created by her gives her hours of fascination and enjoyment.

She derives unique pleasure in playing with rare gems and precious metals to create jewels. In her own statement, she expresses “I am deeply attracted to gemstones for their mysterious appeal, exquite colours and that naughty play of light within them. I feel a sheer romance around gemstones and use them to create wealth of satisfaction”.

Vandana adds “I enjoy inviting connoisseurs of design you to my flagship store, White & Yellow, at the Square One Mall, Saket, New Delhi showcasing my signature jewels and my personal collection of rare old jewels, ‘Heritage Collection’ inspired by the wealth of the India’s heritage jewels.  And, I assure that my creations & collections would inspire a real princess within you…..” as a humble attempt to promote and perpetuate our rich Indian heritage.

White & Yellow houses a rich collection of her designs that uses precious metals and the rarest mineral and organic gems and is created by some of the best Indian craftsmen under her direct supervision. The designer adds that it is virtually impossible to replicate these creations – existing craftsmen cannot achieve even 30% similarity.
