Suzanne Collins is an American novelist, television writer and author of The New York Times bestseller, The Hunger Games. Books revolve around North America:
In the ruins of the place known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the age of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual hunger games, a fight to the death on live TV.
Well known magazine and other author has reacted this way about the book: ‘Whereas Katniss kills with finesse, Collins writes with raw power …’ – Time Magazine
‘I was so obsessed with this book … the story kept me up for several nights in a row … The Hunger Games is amazing.’ – Stephenie Meyer, author of the Twilight series
