A neutral base colour palette injected with plenty of neon effect and hints of tangerine form the epicentre of Ankita’s Spring Summer 2012 clothing line. Lights went down as models clad in corset dresses were popping in neon shades of tangerine and fluorescent in this ‘Tangy Candy’ inspired collection. The electric shades of tangerine and fluorescent moved to other elements such as spaghetti straps or ombre-dye effect in beautifully crafted short corset dresses. Rope-like elements were coiled around in sleeves and neckline before renovating themselves itself into an entire dress in tangerine with hints of pink at hem. Appliqué was another notable element judiciously used in body hugging dresses in nets and lace. A blue dress in lace was combined with brown drapes at waist, which was flowing and swinging as the model walked down the ramp. The show concluded with a play of neon lights on the garments in dark.
