The Spring Summer 2012 collection by Label-Ritu Kumar talks about an outrageous approach for the modern day woman. An eclectic mix of surfaces and transparencies show the bold and sensuous side. The colours are a smart mix of black transparent surfaces and rich embellished thicker mediums. Black and white are synchronised very well.
One can also see softer prints. The necks are highly ornated with metal sequins used in linear and abstract geometric patterns. There are horizontal patterns on shrugs. The lacey bodies are lengthier and are laid over solid blacks. The plackets are in contrast shades adding an element of sophistication. The shapes include maxi dresses, large flared dresses, short tunics, pencil trousers and leggings. The other design features have anti silhouette dresses, confident mandarin collars and basic dress with cowl back-neck, embroidered shoulder yokes and fringes on the yoke, which are not to be missed. The fabrics mostly look flowy and range from knits to georgettes and chiffons. There is also an intellectual play of beige, which takes a prominent position at times. In terms of accessories, the crushed neckties look smarter, while the broad leather belts make a great statement.
