WIFW 2011 Preview Rajdeep Ranawat

[tab:Feed]The WIFW Spring summer 2012 preview of designer Rajdeep Ranawat hosted by Mobius , held at Mobius in Samrat hotel was a well attended event. There was a fashion walk with 5 models which also included Miss Argentina and Chandrika.

The Spring/Summer 2012 collection for the upcoming Wills India Fashion Week is based on 7 species of exotic flowers from nature : Columbine, Saggitaire, Solomon’s, Daffodils, Poppies, Chestnuts and Nasturtiums …

This compromises a blend of specially carved Block prints from Sanganer by the artisans and further complimented with modern digital prints with placements of the same motifs..Further enhanced by brushed metal studs and rivets and Swarovski elements to give the SS12 collection a glamorous/luxurious and an edgy feel!

Fabrics as silk gorgts, chiffons and crepe with tulle and satins are used in simple yet contemporary silhouettes. 

Colors of Canary, Aqua, Ultramarine, Satsuma, Ruby, Ivory and lime are vividly used and further subdued by our signature ombrey effects in mystic purples, majestic emeralds, burgundy and raven black.The collection has an array of resort kaftans and tunics, short/long dresses, gowns, outfits and sarees for the woman with an aura of glamour and sophistication to confidently tread, to make a dazzling statement in society. 

Those who were present for the evening were designers Sonia Jetleey, Jenjum, Joy Mitra, Ankita Chaudhry, Pratima Pandey, model Heena and few more.
