Mumbai, 7th December, 2011: INK Infrastructure in association with YUVA and powered by Provogue brings to you the first ever unprecedented fashion week created solely to celebrate resort wear in India. An initiative to promote Indian resort fashion and world over, India Resort Fashion Week 2011 (IRFW) is being held at the Grand Hyatt, Goa from the 7th – 10th December, 2011, showcasing the finest works of the country’s most coveted resort wear designers.  
The three day fashion week was inaugurated by Tourism Minister Nilkanth Harlanker along with Pallav Kumar Ojha, Tanya Swetta, id8 Media Solutions and Nikhil Oza  of E-sense Entertainment. Resort wear today has gone beyond just beach wear. It has emerged as the retail industry’smulti -seasonal money spinner, as resort wear is essentially year round fashion. World over resort wear has been recognized already as an independent season and the international resort wear industry is growing exponentially. India is still to fully explore and understand the growing importance of cruise collection; IRFW 2011 has been conceptualised to cater to this burgeoning resort wear industry. With an eclectic mix of renowned designers and emerging talent IRFW 2011 is pegged as the most anticipated fashion week in the country.
A must attend for all fashion enthusiast, IRFW 2011 is committed to showcasing exquisite designs in swim, resort and luxury lounge wear for women and men. Spread over four days, IRFW will celebrate the creations of designers synonymous with resort wear such as Shantanu and Nikhil, James Ferreira, Manish Malhotra, Shivan and Narresh, Pria Kataria Puri, Narendra Kumar and Anupamaa Dayal to name a few.  The final day of IRFW the shows will be held at Marbela Beach, Morjim; with a ramp on the beach, the ocean as the backdrop on the pristine sands of Goa, encapsulating the true essence of international resort.
Commenting on IRFW Shantanu Mehra says,Resort wear is an escalating segment in the Indian fashion industry and is already an extremely prominent segment abroad. It is just about the correct time for India to also have a fashion week which is devoted to resort wear. We have been creating active lounge wear dresses & gowns as part of our resort wear lines over the years and have now given it a unique brand identity independent of our couture brand. We are extremely happy to be a part of the inaugural IRFW.” 
IRFW, the unique concept is developed and promoted by Tanya Swetta, id8 Media Solutions, Nikhil Oza E-sense Entertainment and Pallav Kumar UVAR Pvt ltd. It is an opportunity to showcase their designs to prominent national as well as international buyers and interact with key players in the industry. This unprecedented concept keenly focuses on the business aspect of the fashion week and is aimed at increasing business conversions, putting the spotlight on resort wear in India. Held at the luxurious Grand Hyatt Goa and final day the Marbela beach, IRFW perpetuates the unique Goa experience with the ‘Shack Village’ – a showcase of collections comprising of resort wear and accessories.
Sharing his views designer Shivan Bhatiya from Shivan & Narresh says, “Designers who ardently create resort wear, many a times go unnoticed. India does not provide adequate impetus for this booming sector. IRFW provides numerous designers a platform to showcase their creativity. It helps them tap this profitable segment. I am excited to be a party of this distinct property”  
This December celebrate the undying and sensuous style of resort wear with IRFW at the Grand Hyatt Goa. Brace yourself to witness a fashion extravaganza like no other, as stalwarts in the resort space present scintillating cruise collections in sun soaked hues.

The India Resort Fashion Week kicks off  Trendily with SS13 Trends of James Ferreira and The Pristine White Lounge of the main show area with sunken first row sofas and back rows in dining style tables & chairs giving it a Resort-Feel.
The Stylish Venue adds to cool atmosphere and Destination Goa is the Perfect French Riviera of the East hence the apt place for Indian Resort Trends to be originated.
James Ferreira showcased SS13 Trends inspired by African influence of  The Mosaic cut – A riot of colors – Pink Primrose, Orange, Leaf Green, Dust Gold, Electric Blue, Gold Yellow and Reds with Beige & Whites.
James started the catwalk with Bhavna our very own Goan spirited gal with his trademark White in Asymmetrical Tops paired with Transparent Skirts. The collection graduated to Muted Color Batik Leaf prints consisting of Cowl, Ruched, Asymmetrical, Wrapped Dresses in Orange, Purple, Green, Indigos, and non-color Beiges, Whites, Greys & Blacks.
His menswear collection was exciting and even more trendier with Pakistani Salwars & Lungi’s, Shorts over Pants as Bottoms and Transparent- Opaque play SKURTA, some with Asymmetrical Hemlines and Coat Collars and ended the sequence with Batik Denims in Brown-Red, Green-Blue & Grey-Golden shades paired with solid Transparent Shirts.
The Resort look in women was the Out of Bath Look with wet scrunched hair adorned with White Jasmine Flowers, very Fresh and inviting.
The James Ferreira Signature Style of Drapes has evolved to Trends with each Resort Garment dancing to the Rhythms of Goan Life with its Carnival Colors.
Music of the French Riviera as the Resort was originated there was soothing to the senses with the freshness of flowy ethereal garments and  ended with Maria the famous Goan song which brought applause’s and smiles from the audiences.
Trends IRFW: Batik Prints, Indigo, African Colors, Skurta – The Shirt Kurta for men with Asymmetrical Hemlines & Transparent-Opaque Play.

Aarti Vijay has a dream, a fantasy, a song to sing, to help her through reality.
She sees the wonder of a fairy tale and believes in angels and the her imaginative spirit comes alive in her Fairytale collection of dream sequences in Pristine Whites with Sequins, Laces, Nets and Silver Metallic Pops.
Aarti’s show started with Playsuits in Whites with Silver Metallic insets which is SS13 of Asian (Japanese) influence of a Sash Belt.
Transparency, Sequins, Nets, Laces were the highlights of the collection. Asymmetrical tops paired with Sequined & Transparent Skirts.
The Leggings with Bustiers and Transparent Coats with Gold & Silver Borders were dreamy and flowy. 
The Resort bride was born with Golden & Silver Bustier and Transparent flowy Skirts & Gowns. The Kurtop – Kurta Top was originated in a Global Feel.
The time is right for her to cross the stream – Aarti Vijay has a dream to a worthwhile destination.
Trends IRFW: Silver metallic belts – Asian (Japanese) influence of sash, borders and tops. Kurtop – kurta top with a Global feel.
