“We have done a fair amount research before arriving at what should be done at the event. Understanding the psyche of men was just one of them. Everyone likes to experience a leisurely day out, with family. Our intent was to ensure that we offer them the space which allows them to just do that. As a result, we have a session on wine tasting; we’ve created an exclusive cigar lounge, one could master their golfing skills with tips from Golf pros. To ensure that the ladies are not left out, we made sure that a special lounge with designers focused on exquisite creations for women, a jewelry corner, etc. was created. There’s a beer garden where couples can relax and unwind on a bright sunny weekend”, said Poonam Gurbuxani Puri, Co-Promoters of Gentlemen’s Club.
Gentlemen’s Club was also a setting to the Curtain Raiser of the Men Universe India 2016 pageant. The first ten semi finalists to the pageant walked the ramp, showcasing designs by Jaya Mishra, Siddartha Tytler, Joy Mitra, Ashish Soni, Dhruv Kapoor, Kanika Goyal and Sahil Aneja. The ten semi finalists from Delhi will go on compete with their counterparts from other parts of the country before making it to the Grand Finale in April this year. Kiran Gill – first winner of Men Universe India who represented India at the Men Universe Model in 2008 and Sumit Singh – winner 2015 of Men Men Universe India who represented India at the Men Universe Model in 2015 were the showstoppers at the fashion show. The days of a man’s rolling out of bed, pulling on a pair of worn out jeans and splashing cold water on his face are fast becoming only a memory. New age men are spending as much time and money on their appearance as their female counterparts are. Urged on by clothing manufacturers, hair and tanning salons, body shaping gyms, men’s lifestyle magazines, a new generation of men has embraced a new definition of masculinity. Men Universe India is a unique property launched in India to search the country’s stylish man where in addition to good looks and good body men display exceptional levels of fine dressing, right attitude and a pleasing personality.”
The event combined retail therapy with interactive sessions with experts from various fields such as watchmakers, cigar connoisseurs, sommeliers and designers. Gentlemen’s Club aims to create a niche market for men’s luxury, the USP of which lies in curating a treasured experience that blends the bespoke with the desirable, but also equally accessible.
