Ian Harebottle, Gemfields Chief Executive Officer has said,” The Indian jem and jewellery market alone is estimated at US$ 30.1 billion.Coloured gemstones in India have a market share of 8%, preceded by diamonds with a market share of 15%. Growth of coloured gemstones on an all-time high, demand in India alone has increased by 50% per year over the last four years”.
Gemfields is a mining company for retailing part they have collaboration with Indian company like, Gitanjali ,Amrapali and Tata Group’s Tanishq. We will bring ruby in the Indian market in second half of the year. We have marketing office in Mumbai and our retailing office in Jaipur. We are looking forward to our Indian collaboration. We have hired famous Indian jewellery designer like Bina Goenka said Ian Harbottle.
