DLF Emporio Encourages Young Talent through Design Awards

New Delhi, 16th May 2012: As a part of its much cherished Luxury Shopping Festival, DLF Emporio has now come up with an innovative concept of the Design Awards. DLF Emporio brings to the platform, Design Awards for talented students, carefully chosen from all prestigious colleges of national and international fame. This is the first time a luxury platform has brought students to the limelight, by having the most fabulous competition that could garner great opportunities for them to build their careers.

“DLF Emporio Design Awards” – is the first edition of an exclusive Design Awards to honour young, innovative and emerging talent in the field of fashion design. DLF Emporio, India’s finest luxury destination, is known for its eclectic high fashion collection of both international and Indian designers. It is not only a luxury destination, but also an organization that identifies and nurtures raw talent aspiring to enter the luxury industry. DLF Emporio Design Awards are woven around a central theme of exclusive and desirable creations. The platform gives the students the freedom to explore boundless creativity and innovation in the field of accessory or product design. With the first of its kind activity, DLF Emporio not only intends to create the biggest platform for creating beautiful designs from different sources, but also caters to the same desire of sophistication.


A casting call for designers, it’s a chance for the fashion design world to discover new talent – and for budding designers, to get a great start! A jury of prominent designers, artists and celebrities such as Rohit Bal, Priya Sachdev, Bandana Tiwari, Mohit Gujral and Sunil Sethi will shortlist the best entries that would be showcased at DLF Emporio atrium for a exhibit.

The Designer of the year will receive recognition in terms of


’DLF Emporio Design Awards Certificate of Achievement’ and ‘DLF Emporio Design Awards winning Trophy’. It does not get over here, a personalized press release and an internship with a prominent Indian Designer, along with promotion in the DLF Emporio newsletter to design professionals and clients and a year long coverage on the DLF Emporio International Designs Awards website are the added feathers to the winner’s hat. The winner will also get to place his season based product line in the DLF Emporio pop-up store.


To highlight the essence of luxury, DLF Emporio will showcase showstopper pieces from its in house brands on all days from 10th – 14th May 2012. The above accentuates the design aspect and reinforces the fact that DLF Emporio values creativity, designing and all the fine and beautiful elements.
