Divyam’s penchant towards creativity started at a very early age, developing graphics and understanding crafts. He graduated from Pearl Academy of fashion, winning the award for, “most avant-garde designer” in his graduating year 2004. After that, he continued his learning in the domain of fashion marketing, from the prestigious London College of fashion.

In the year 2006, with a handful of artisans, he established his design studio, “HOTU HOME”, began with creating exquisite textiles and textures for his first collection of contemporary occasion-wear for men, in collaboration with Heritage (an up market boutique in south extension, New Delhi). Today, Divyam creates garments for both men and women, under his label, “DIVYAM MEHTA”.

The label “DIVYAM MEHTA” subtly echoes the crafts and traditions of India, which Divyam impeccably fuses with contemporary silhouettes and fine detailing, making each garment unique and modern. The fine balance, which is reflected in his creations, is the perfect harmony between exquisite fabrics, accurate construction, surface ornamentation and refined detailing.

Divyam’s debut at the WIFW in March 2010 won him many accolades from the buyers across the country. The collection will be available in more than 20 multi-designer stores including Ensemble, Ogaan, Aza, Evoluzione, 85 Lansdowne to name just a few. The menswear line is exclusively retailed through Heritage in New Delhi. The studio is also proud to be associated with clients, which includes artists and industrialists.
