Jaya Rathore’s interest and knowledge of Indian craft forms have fueled her experiments with textile revival. Her explorations of heritage weaves and embroideries have resulted in pieces which surpass the ‘age and time’ expiry dates and possess an inherent heirloom value. Heritage embroideries, revived techniques and old folk motifs are brought to life on contemporary shapes.
