There’s simply no matching the soul soothing, soul stirring, ageless rhythm and tunes of Sufi music. One such glorious Sufi Night program was hosted by Sanjay Dalmia, renowned businessman and philanthropist, at his residence, at Tees January Marg on 18th December’2017. The celebration curated by Dalmia himself moved to a blissful path of spirituality with the marvellous performance of the famous, Nizami Bandhu (popularly known as Nizami Brothers), who performed on everlasting soulful renditions. The trio that boasts of a 700-year-old musical lineage, and have sung in Bollywood songs like “Kun Faya Kun” of Rockstar (2011), left the audience awe-struck with a live performance of their mellifluous compositions. To the real connoisseurs of authentic music, Sufi transcends all man-made barriers such as class, caste, religion, race, language and nationality, and goes on to create a pristine connection to the heavenly abode.
“This Sufi night is a journey towards Peace, Harmony, and Universal Brotherhood. However more than anything else, it connects all those who believe in the power of unconditional love, total surrender of ego and unity of all”, said Sanjay Dalmia
Among those seen having a good time were Shahnawaz Hussain, Jai Madaan, Saif Mahmood, Vidya Shah, Ajay Mago, Madhu Jain, Charu and Anupam Parashar, Mannu Mansheet, Manavi Rai, Alka Rani Singh of Pratapgarh, Piya Bajwa to name a few. The guests were treated to authentic and scrumptious Marwari food, alongside the devotional soul-stirring qawwali.
