Chull- A new age resto bar that everyone’s talking about

The launch event of the new resto bar named “CHULL” in Sector 29, Leisure Valley, Gurgaon recently signifies the beginning of a novel era sans age old stigmas and taboos.

An unconventional socializing cum party destination, "CHULL" has been brought to existence to initiate and encourage party goers to liberally talk in public about issues which since time immemorial have had stigmas attached to them. Right from choosing the address of the place as the Leisure Valley which is often referred to as the foodie’s paradise to setting a new trend by launching a socio-liberal party place, everything about ‘CHULL’ is just different and astounding. The theme based party had a rather quirky theme "Majama Pajama" for everyone to dress up in their favorite PJs. Daring to be bold and different, the newly launched “CHULL” lived truly upto its name and theme. The launch event saw the presence of Shubham Gupta, Director -CHULL, Neeraj Gupta, Rachna Gupta, Angad Chachra, Akashdeep Dhiman, Neelam Chauhan, Anandita, Simran Kaur, Rosy Ahluwalia and Nitya Sarin to name a few. The guests has a gala time as they were treated to scintillating music, signature recipes of the place, and drinks. The choice of wines, cocktails and Hors D’ Oeuvres was appreciated by the guests. The wide range of kebabs coupled with the traditional appetizers and the cocktails added more resplendence to the evening.

Sharing his finer thoughts on what inspired him to launch CHULL, Shubham Gupta, Owner-Managing Director, CHULL said, “At CHULL, there is just no intention to induce or encourage vulgarity into the culture. Rather what we seek through our eccentric yet elegant interiors, events and communication, is to augment and instill among party goers the relevance of safe sex especially amongst the youth. The 21^st century youth is suave, educated, and aware in their outlook, which is why they deserve an open public space where they can indulge in a “no holds barred” conversation with friends and colleagues. Our endeavour is to get rid of all the outdated taboos of the society. They have simply no place and scope in the modern times. We have assiduously created a comfort ambience where one can openly converse over some amazing food and drinks. While it may seem as a daring venture, we are optimistic about the place becoming a trendsetter in times to come. With due course of time, we will open new branches of ‘CHULL’ since our key focus remains on liberating society from age old stigmas, and providing the public with destinations where they can get the best of both the worlds.. A perfect combo, if I may say so. ‘CHULL’ is a distinctive avant-garde bar where today’s youth can comfortably engage in animated conversations sans judgmental looks and stares.”

The kitschy interiors exhibit a distinctive amalgamation of a clandestine setting with a desi twist, perfectly resonating the notion of the bar. The space has been designed with an uncanny flair, complete with neon signs, luscious lip shaped couches and handcuffs dangling from the ceiling. With myriad ‘read-between-the-lines’ and double meaning messaging, the motive behind this out-of-the-box concept is to discard the encumbrance associated with talking about social taboos in the open.

With such a bold, daring concept, Chull extends to not only break the stigmas attached to sex, but also works to create awareness about the importance of sex education and safe sex amongst the youth.

The food menu indubitably tantalizes the taste buds with innovations like ‘Ek Number’ (McDowells, jamun, egg white and sugar syrup), ‘Talab’ (an aamkaaachar frozen margarita) and ‘Palang Todd’ (A special alcohol mix topped with kalakhatta and red bull), colossal emphasis has been given to natural alcoholic infusions, highlighting the unique flavours of natural ingredients.
