Every May, we get to see Indian beauties gracing the red carpet of Festival de Cannes.
The 71-year-old film festival brings about the best fashion and beauty trends on the red carpet every year. And as expected this year, the Bollywood beauties impressed us with their style as they swayed down the massive red carpet. From Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to Deepika Padukone, the Indian divas showed us their most-experimental side at Cannes 2018. From Deepika’s dramatic eye make-up to Aishwarya’s structured updo, the red carpet had it all.
The Bollywood actress, Aishwarya Rai Bachan wowed us with her first red carpet appearance at Cannes 2018. She wore a butterfly inspired gown with a 3-metre long train designed by Michael Cinco. For the look, she sported the usual straight hair with a centre-parting and what caught our attention was her eye make-up. She sported a wing eye which was accentuated with specks of purple glitter.
The former beauty queen wore a shimmery outfit for her second red carpet appearance at Cannes. For this look, she complemented the outfit with sparkly eye make-up and a very structured hairdo. For her eyes, she showcased an intense black liner on the upper liner which was paired with a silver wing eye on the top. Her hairstyle was a pulled-back into a top knot which had parts of hair gelled and twisted around the bun.
For her first red carpet appearance at Cannes, Deepika Padukone went for a nude make-up look. She sported a hint of shimmer shadow on her lids defined with a black liner. She complimented the look with a rosy flush and a nude-brown lip color.
At her second appearance, Deepika surely surprised us with her dramatic pink gown. She sported a texture top knot hairdo, unlike her usual slick buns. What caught our attention was her pink and black smokey wing eye complementing the nude lip colour.
Newly-wed Sonam Kapoor made head turns at the red carpet of the ongoing 71st Cannes Film Festival in a Lehenga and braided hair look.
The Bollywood beauty will be attending an auction dinner for an NGO in a beautiful Delpozo outfit. Styled by her sister Rhea Kapoor and Deep Kailey, Sonam looked pretty in a mint green midi dress. The actress, who is known to be quite the fashionista, kept her accessories to the minimum by sporting big green earrings and highlighted eyes.
Kangana Ranaut, known for making a fashion statement like no other in Bollywood and seldom puts the wrong foot forward on the style front; chose a black saree for her first day. Paired with a sleeveless blouse and a Vyjayanthimala hairdo from the 70s, Kangana brought back retro with a bang and like never before. And her teenmaniya choker necklace made by rose-cut diamonds, Colombian emeralds and basra pearls adding the pinch of light and magic to the black number.
Ranaut’s red carpet look was a Zuhair Murad couture gown with a long train. Looking drop-dead-gorgeous in the backless beige gown, Kangana couldn’t have chosen a better look for her Cannes debut which she definitely nailed it.
While the B-town beauties are making India proud at the Cannes red carpet with their glamorous appearances, actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has joined the fraternity at the French Riviera.
