Barbeque Nation, one of India’s leading casual dining restaurant chains recently crossed the milestone of 100 outlets in India and abroad. To mark the celebrations, MasterChef Vikas Khanna lit the lamp at their new 101st outlet at Ambience Mall, Gurugram. Mr. Sameer Bhasin- CEO, Mr. Kayum Dhanani- Managing Director and Mrs. Suchitra Dhanani-Director, Barbeque Nation were also present at the event.
On talking with Fashiongaze about crossing the milestone of 100 outlets, MasterChef Vikas Khanna said, “With 100 outlets Barbeque Nation is providing employment to more than 5000 employees, supporting them and their families with a source of income every year. When the chain of restaurant is successful, the farmer chain, purchase chain and many other behind the scene people gets affected and grows.”
Over the past four years, Barbeque Nation has added 64 restaurants, crossing the 100th milestone recently, with a launch at Dimapur in Nagaland. Post creating a successful enterprise in India, the brand began operations overseas in 2016, with the launch of three outlets in Dubai and is focusing on a few other countries in the region. The brand has successfully established itself as a popular choice, not just for family dinners, but also corporate lunches, owing to strategic locations of outlets, fine ambience and competitive pricing.
Though, scrumptious food is the main attraction of Barbeque Nation, this new outlet has much more to offer. Comfortable ambience and warm staff is what you will witness when you enter this restaurant. Talking about the dishes, Chicken Shorma from the live kitchen and Biryani from the main course took our heart. Though Tawa Chicken couldn’t meet our expectations, variety of other dishes from main course and dessert segment compensated it with their delicious tastes.
Kayum Dhanani, Managing Director, Barbeque Nation Hospitality Ltd, said, “From the launch of our first outlet in 2006, to the 100th this year, Barbeque Nation has come a long way in offering an unmatched dining experience to its guests. We have contributed significantly to defining and shaping the casual dining experience in the country with our unique proposition of, DIY live on-the-table-grill and have served over 24 million patrons over the last four years. With constant innovation and a penchant for experimentation, we are now charting the next phase of growth in our journey”.
Also to commemorate the milestone, #GrillForACause campaign was launched in association with Helpage India to support the elderly.
Barbeque Nation is a pioneer in India to promote ‘DIY’ (do-it-yourself) cuisine with a concept of live on-the-table grill, since its first store in Mumbai in 2006. Barbeque Nation was founded with a simple vision – offering a complete dining experience to customers at affordable prices. The philosophy extended to all aspects of service and caused the chain to expand rapidly. By 2008, the barbeque chain had a significant pan-India presence, with outlets in Chandigarh, Delhi NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
We wish heartiest congratulations to Barbeque Nation for such a big achievement.
