Actress Akshara Haasan has walked the ramp in a bridal outfit created by designer Rina Dhaka on third day of BMW India Bridal Fashion Week 2015
The “Shamitabh” looked graceful in a light pink lehenga with pink embellishments. The ‘choli’ (top) had 3D flowers stitched to it.
“What I really like about it is the simplicity of the collection. It makes a statement, but subtly. So it’s very simple, sweet and young’, said Akshara, who is the daughter of veteran actors Kamal Haasan and Sarika, after the show to reporters.
Dhaka showcased lehengas, saris, capes and and sari gowns. The interesting use of pleats was an attraction.
“My inspiration for the line was innocence and freshness of the flowers in bloom, and I tried to put these elements” said designer Rina Dhaka.
There were a total of 24 ensembles, for which Dhaka took three months to research. The colour palette was dominated by gold, peach, pink and red.
