Day-4 : Niket & Jainee at WIFW SS 12

Niket & Jainee created a warm chemistry with silver and white for Spring Summer 2012. The sequinned embellishments added romance to the white surfaces. They clearly have set a mark this season with their amazing construction techniques. The yokes on shoulder, back and front got all the attention with linear and geometric patterns. The designer has extensively used self coloured brocade weave.

The silhouettes had front opening, which created a sense of vertical linear geometry. The surfaces were rich white and exquisitely crushed, adding substance. The shiny cutwork embroideries blended the bases in a refined manner. There was a slight hint of gold and black to the existing silver and white palette. The hems had creative spirals and ruffles, which appeared casted. Black was used with ombre techniques. Necklines were bigger, scooped and plunging.  The designer duo showed off their geometric expertise with the queue-like placement of sequins. The saree drapes were teamed with superbly embellished corsets.  There were numerous godets added to transparent overlayed jackets.
