Urvashi Kaur emphasizes the element of fluidity in her Spring Summer 2012 collection. By using knits and hosiery surfaces, she celebrates sense of freedom for the contemporary woman. The collection combines refined constructed silhouettes with free drapes—a feature that is very much indigenous when slightly twisted and exudes a western appeal.  The shapes were bold and provocative. The colours were mainly off-whites, timidly treated with pastel blues, pinks and browns.

The second colour treatment highlighted the important areas of the silhouettes in a very prolific manner. The surfaces were layered over one another and gathered to make a synchronized statement.  The saree like drapes teamed with one piece swimsuits in yellow tone were to look out for. The backs were experimental—they were treated with criss-cross bead strings and yarns hanging loosely across shoulders. Used as accessories, the yarns were going very well with the story. The fabrics were characterised with treatments like smocking and rooching. The hairdos were accentuated with frayed satin laces and faces had coloured patches.
