FDCI, having successfully established itself as an esteemed launch pad for some of the freshest faces in fashion, the model audition received an overwhelming response. These fresh faces will match shoulders with some of the industry’s leading models and add to the zeal of the event.

Jury members who were assigned the crucial task of choosing the final models and the future stars of the Indian ramp, shortlisted best quality models for this season. The eminent jury members included,
Designer, David Abraham,Designer, Anju Modi,Designer, Poonam Bhagat,Designer, Abhishek Gupta,Fashion choreographer Vidyun Singh,FDCI President, Sunil Sethi .
In a non-press event, the esteemed jury members selected models on several attributes such as poise, confidence, attitude, elegance and personality among other deciding parameters. The auditions included tough rounds of judging the young models on basis of confidence, fitness and elegance on the ramp. As has been the case every year, this promises to be a very competitive and exciting selection process aimed at bringing forward the best and most promising faces in fashion. Being instrumental in introducing the likes of Deepika Padukone, Liza Hayden and others to the fashion fraternity, they continue to set new benchmarks for talent every season.
For over a decade – Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) – India’s apex fashion body has played an important role in promoting some of India’s best young talent who has grown to become household names today. Model auditions for the WIFW are an integral part of this process of bringing novelty to the biggest trade event of the fashion industry as also creating new avenues for aspiring models.
