WIFW SPRING/SUMMER 2012 NEW FACES

New Delhi, September 28, 2010: The esteemed jury brought together to select fresh faces for the latest edition of Asia’s biggest business of fashion event, the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week (WIFW) Spring/Summer 2012, today announced the names of 10 female models, shortlisted at the all- India model hunt. The model auditions took place on September 20th at The Lalit Hotel, New Delhi and consisted of various intensive rounds for selection. Chosen models will walk the ramp with some of the industry’s leading female models. The event promises to be an interesting blend of fresh faces and industry veterans.

The 10 new faces chosen at the all-India model auditions for Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week are: Vira Popil , Ninja Singh, Nitya Duella, Grecia Palomares , Sherin Sam,    Apoorva Vishwanathan , Ekaterina Andreieva ,  Anuradha Nayadu, Patricia Gonsalves , Tara Kurien.

Models were selected based on a host of parameters including poise, confidence, attitude, elegance and personality by a distinguished panel of judges that included designer Rahul Khanna, Poonam Bhagat, Abhishek Gupta, Vidyun Singh, Vinod Nair, Harmeet Bajaj and Simar Duggal. The 10 winning models were selected from nearly 100 applicants!

Congratulating the selected models, Sunil Sethi, President, Fashion Design Council of India said, “Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week has been an important platform for recognizing and encouraging emerging talent in the fashion industry. It gives us immense pleasure to introduce fresh talent from all over India to bring to life the garments designed by our creative participating designers.”
