It was a heady mix of Glamour, Fashion and some Fun at De Villa on Sunday night. As the models walked in finesse, unveiling Fashion Designer Gautam Gupta’s Spring-Summer from his label AUTRE paired with Jewellery Designer Varda Goenka’s stunning pieces from her label DIAGOLD, the guests had a gala time unwinding in this mixture of fashion and glamour of Delhi.
The weather was perfect as was the ambience and the crowd. Delhi’s socialites were seen appreciating the collection and the scrumptious snacks. While Gautam’s collection’ Lime Chuski’ had a fluorescent appeal of the season with neat and flamboyant drapes, Varda’s jewellery had the colour and elegance as she played stylishly with Polkis, Diamonds, Pearls and Emerald
Guests present at the do were Actor Nasser Abdullah, Socialite Ramola Bachchan, Designers Rajdeep Ranawat, Niket Mishra, Bobby Grover, Taniya Khanuja, Kawaljit Singh, Parul Grover, Singer/Actor Vandana Vadhera,Dermatologist Varun Katyal, Socialite Shweta Kohli, DJ Khushi, Ashish Nagpal,Model Khushboo Goel, Jewellery Designer Nitin Vijay, Artist Bob Martín, Makeup Expert Shikha Taneja, Sylvie, Fitness Expert Kiran Sawhney, Embassy of Lebanon Georges Fadel and others.
“The passion is enclosed in each and every garment as this collection symbolizes the carefree urban women who just love to be free. The colors are apt to set the mood of the season as they are bright, eclectic and full of joy”, said the young and experimental Designer.
Each creation is distinct and has an amalgamation of the best of India and the west. “The theme ‘Lime chuski’ represents happiness, freedom, bonding and enjoying life at every moment. We have used mixture of bright colors, flowing and carefree silhouettes, soft textiles with digital printing and rich Indian embroidery”, adds Gautam.
Fabrics used for the collection are georgettes, chiffons, chanderi, organza, cotton and linen. Colours used for the theme are fuchsia, lime green, sunny yellow, orange and aqua.
The use of specialized Indian embroidery like Kantha work, Phulkari work, Kashmiri embroidery, Parsi gara embroidery, Ari and Zardosi along with beads, cut dana and sequins can be witnessed in designs.
Using all these in various permutation and combination, they have incorporated them in western silhouettes and cuts to give them an international look.

The label is soon to be launched in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Pune.
